Defiance — Batsheva Silverberg

In the middle of the snow
A bush grows

Thorny and prickly
Sharp and seemingly untouchable

The only ones
That dare to approach it
Are those that defy
Fear

But if you
Were to approach it
If you
Were to defy fear

You could look down
Into the center of the bush
And you would see
A rose

A stunning exquisite rose
That against all odds
Has defied nature
And sprung up
Amidst this prickly bush

What a beautiful thing
Defiance
