Basil — Jeremy Skoler
Fresh-picked basil from the garden
Feels like a smooth maple leaf blowing in the wind
Tastes like a crispy stalk of mint with an earthy touch
Looks like the hard shiny shell of a beetle crawling through the wet grass
Smells like mud and morning dew
Sounds like the whisper of bees’ feet as they tiptoe along a leaf
