What I Would do Different — David Bix
What I could do different,
Oh so much I could.
How I lost my chance,
How I knew I would.
And it still does haunt me,
And it haunts him too.
Like why I even did it,
Like what was he to do.
If only I had known
That it had meant so much,
That I had hurt him deep,
And all the nerves I touched
And all the lines I crossed,
Could have looked more closely.
Should have known my role,
Should’ve been there for Rosey.
And now we are still friends,
Quite close to be exact.
But we could have been much closer,
And now there’s just a gap.
Oh so much I could.
How I lost my chance,
How I knew I would.
And it still does haunt me,
And it haunts him too.
Like why I even did it,
Like what was he to do.
If only I had known
That it had meant so much,
That I had hurt him deep,
And all the nerves I touched
And all the lines I crossed,
Could have looked more closely.
Should have known my role,
Should’ve been there for Rosey.
And now we are still friends,
Quite close to be exact.
But we could have been much closer,
And now there’s just a gap.
