The Difference between Mothers and Fathers — Bracha Prero

My mother never gave me candy;
My father gave me candy;
She said I would get cavities.
He wasn’t worried about my teeth.
My mother never cleaned my room;
My father and I cleaned my room together;
She said I had to do it all by myself.
We put all the toys and books away.
My mother never took me shopping for new clothes;
My father took me shopping;
She said I would bring home the whole store.
I did bring home the whole store.
My mother never bought me toys;
My father bought me new toys;
She said I would lose them.
He told me to hide them from my mom.
